Recently called to reserve fresh select oysters for the holidays. Staff at Charlie's were courteous, and the oysters were perfect. It's refreshing to witness a business that values their products, and treats customers right. I will choose Charlie's Seafood again soon!

Ok so I like this restaurant... BUT I do not like the cheese on the whitefish sandwich so I like the food. The service was somewhat good the employees were still nice. The ambiance I thought was awesome because of that boat feeling!

Just got lunch there again today, the whitefish sandwich lunch with fries and cole slaw, and I got another with hush puppies. There was enough fish for two very full sandwiches, fries were good and crispy and survive being in styrafoam even! Great slaw, good puppies. What a deal for $10. It's always been my GO TO for a great fish sandwich. It's the only place in town you can get one that isn't breaded in panko, or else greasy and the skin falls off. Charlies uses great breading (not panko or beer batter) and they get it crispy,not greasy. And it's a local family place. Check 'em out if you don't already frequent them.

Originally from Maine, I stumbled upon Charlie's years ago when we moved to Lexington. It has been a favorite of my family's when it comes to needing our seafood fix. My husband always gets their seafood platter and I order the scallop dinner. The restaurant might not look like much but it's a happening little place with wonderful service. Family ran, it's consistently great! Though they do not offer dine in or have any seating be prepared to take the food home, or enjoy it fresh in your car! I have noticed, like everywhere else that the prices have gone up with the portion seeming smaller but they do offer several cheaper more affordable options but we continue to order what we love!

This place is a fish lover's dream. I had the Catfish Special, and my wife had the CHarlie's Whitefish Sandwich special. I had hush puppies with mine, and she opted for French Fries here. We also tried the Cole Slaw and the Oysters additionally. All was well, and the service was good too. If you like to fish, this is the place to stop in. The owners and staff are delightful.

Charlie's Seafood was incredible and you should absolutely get into your car and go there right now, or tomorrow, or whenever they are open next. I needed to revise my previous review from 4 stars to five stars. I can't believe I previously only gave them 4 stars. Charlie's, who has amassed TONS of positive reviews where people went on and on about how fresh, delicious, and legit it was. From the outside, it looked like it wasn't going to be the best but looks can be oh so deceiving. The catfish was easily the best I've had in Lexington. It was seasoned enough to eat without needing hot sauce. The reviews were right, there Fish was very good. Fries were soft and perfect and the hushpuppies they could not be beat! The sandwich is huge and delicious!

Somehow I have lived in Lexington all of my life and never made it here before now. Did I mention that I've lived less than a mile away for the past 9 years!?! Well I finally took the plunge and I have most certainly been missing out. The fish sandwich was soooo good!!! The portion was huge and it was made to order, served fresh & hot. If you blink you could miss this gem, but you definitely don't want to do that. I also didn't know that you could purchase fresh seafood to prepare at home. Now that I've sampled it, I'll definitely be back for more!!!
